night __ John went back this even g took
M c 'Mullin with him to bring back the horse & buggy___
3 Monday. James at stumps till near 10 o 'C. then at hay,
Griffin not here till night, Major about
house in morn - , at stumps till near 10 o 'C at
hay till dinner, than cart hay, Payne at stumps till
near 10 o 'C. make hay till dinner, then draw in____
Self help at hay from 10 o 'C.____ M c 'Mullin from 3 o 'C. P.M.
4 Tuesday. James at stumps in morn - , rake hay with
horse till dinner, then at hay & replace back-
-wheels of wagon, Griffin about house in morn - ,
to Robt s with boat, then at hay, Major & Payne at
stumps in morn - , make hay & cart it in________
5 Wednesday. James to Aylmer in Robt s boat, got back
by 2 o 'C. then help get in hay from drain,
Griffin gave up with bad back, Major at
stumps & help in with the hay_____ Self to
Alymer in boat & on to Ottawa________
6 Thursday. James and Major at stumps till dinner,
then to Aylmer with the boat & canoe,
Griffin no work, ____ went to Aylmer with
Self in boat_____Self returned for Emerald
in the morn - then to Aylmer after dinner______
7 Friday. James at wood for himself, Griffin not here,
Major at stumps___Self went as far as
Hoppers on my way to Bell 's corners with Con - 's
buggy, returned with the lightening rod men.
8 Saturday. James at stumps in morn - , harrow kitch -
garden & plough it by about 4 o 'C, then about
sundries & draw some wood for M c 'Mullin___
Griffin not here, Major about house in morn - , saw
wood & to Benny's with boat, then mow thistles about
pasture & on high road &e______ John came [across]
last night________
9 Sunday. Con - & John started for Ottawa about 6 o 'C__ the
former on her horse, the latter with [Harn's] horse in buggy __
10 Monday. James about sundries in morn - , to Benning's for
a sledge, quarry some stone , pry up east-corner
of workshop, cart a load of do. mix morter &e, then
to the woods for a pole for clothes line & at sundries,
Griffin not here, Major at home _____ M c 'Mullin
help quarry stone, then underpin corner of workshop ____
Self help pry up corner of workshop, put an b iron.___
__ hoop band on handle of new spade & otherwise fix it off___
11 Tuesday. James about house in morn - , then after sawlogs
in boat, Griffin not here till night, Major
at home ______ M c 'Mullin do a little at workshop,
help bring in sawlogs with boat ____ Self in
boat after sawlogs, _________ Elizabeth came in morn - ___
12 Wednesday. James draw logs from river to Mill till about
noon, then draw out stumps, Griffin about
house in morn - , then at stumps along with Major,
Payne help draw logs to Mill, then draw out stumps__
M c 'Mullin help Lay measure lightening rods in
morn - , then at sundries & about workshop chimney___
13 Thursday. James work Sawmill from about 9 o 'C till 3 o 'C.
then at stumps, Griffin about sundries & help
repair fence at far style till 4 o 'C, then at stumps,
Major at sundries & mow weed in little Pigfeilds
till about 3 o 'C. then at stumps, O'Neil at the stumps
about 2 hours in even g ____ M c Mullin finish repairs
about workshop chimney by dinner, help mow &
gather up weeds in little Pigfeild then at sundries _____
Self repair fence about far style & the bars, the 1 st set on road __
14 Friday. James, Major, O'Neil at stumps, Griffin

Self kill a lamb in morn - , then at sundries___________
