15. Thursday. James about horses in morn: draw in
16 logs, Muldoon sundries in morn:, draw
2 load straw & 2 load hay to Cow-loft by noon,
then chop cedars, Pete v r at home, Griffin thrash oats,
George about cattle &c___ Self to Aylmer & back to
dinner, file & rig up new X-cut________
16 Friday. James & Muldoon about horses in morn:, lay up
logs X-cut d of'em, Peter v at home, Griffin
thrash oats, George about cattle &c___ Self to
Ottawa in buggy took Mrs Mac: to Aylmer__
17 Saturday. James about horses in morn: draw in 15 logs,
as far as Muldoon's, then break lane with
oxen & draw to mill, Muldoon help about
horses in morn: chop fence logs, Peter v at home,
Griffin thrash oats, George about cattle &c___
Self to Aylmer in cutter, & on to Ottawa
in Fox's buggy, charley came up with me___
18 Sunday. Church A.M. Self took Charley as far
as Aylmer in even g Hammett with me___
19 Monday. James about horses in morn:,
lay up fence logs, Muldoon bring
up wash g water in morn:, lay up fence-
logs, Peter v at home, Griffin sundries in
morn:, clean up oats, thrash wheat,
George about cattle &c, help clean up oats___
Self to William's with Spring, got back
to a late dinner, then about sundries___
20. Tuesday. James about horses in morn:, went to the
bush to lay up fence-logs, found too much
water, came back & began barking old sawlogs,
Muldoon sundries in morn: went to the bush,
& return d same as James, then draw some of the
logs left at his house, Peter v at home, G v riffin v
ill in morn:, went to Aylmer & back with Self__
George about cattle &c___
21 Wednesday. James about horses in morn:, then cut oak
sawlogs about 3 miles from here on road to
Interior, Muldoon help about horses in morn:,
then with oxen after oak, cut road & draw
in one trip by 3½ o 'C, at sundries & do up things,
Peter v at home, G v riffin v ill___ Geo v rge v about
cattle &c till
Self took James in cutter after oak, got back
to a late dinner, then went back with X-cut, ran
two cuts, brought him back with me_____
22 Thursday. James about horses in morn:, about sundries
till noon, then off to cut oak logs,____
Muldoon about cattle &c in morn:, draw in
a log ^ of oak by noon, then go back & X-cut oak,
Pe v ter v at home, G v riffin v ill, do up things in
even g , G v eorge v at home ill___ Payne make
2 trips for oak logs & 1 trip yesterday____
Self repair two flails, began to put irons on stairs__
23 Friday. James & Muldoon about horses in morn:,
then cut & lay up oak, Peter v at home___
Payne help at oak without his oxen, Griffin
thrash wheat, George about cattle &c____
Self & Anna to Ottawa in buggy from Aylmer__
24 Saturday. James about horses in morn; draw
in 3 trips oak with horses, Muldoon help
about horses in morn:, draw in oak-logs____
Payne draw in oak, Peter v at home___

cattle &c___ Self in wood about oak till
dinner, separate sows & about sundries_____
25 Sunday. Church P.M. Self & Miss Butler went
in cutter to Rob ts & Berry's in even g ____
26 Monday. James about horses in morn:, off to
split big oak, [Fahie] stopped them,
got back abotu noon, grind ax till dinner,
then he & Muldoon lay up cedars__
Peter about oak till noon, chop soft-
-wood, Griffin thrash wheat, George
about cattle &c___ Self to Ottawa in buggy.
