17. Thursday. James saw in morn:, to Bradley's with waggon for horse-cart wheels & axle, Muldoon about horses in

morn:, cart in 4 bags tatoes, then draw wood for George ; Peter to Robts with dirlls in morn: help finish take up tatoes by 4 o'C, level sods on pea-stubble, Griffin, Moran, O'hara & O'neil finish take out tatoes by 4 o'C, then level sods on pea-stubble, George about pigs &e, steam & mix tatoes, Collins came at noon, paint shutter, square up a peice cedar for jams;___ Self started for Bradley's went about 2 miles & returned, file mill-saw & about sundries_

18 Friday. James saw till about 9 o'C, then to the forge to get long hand mended till 3 o'C, then saw again, Muldoon about horses in morn:, thrash peas till 10 o'C, to Brewery & Rob ts till noon, then to Aylmer, peter thrash peas till near 5 o'C, then cart in 4 bags tatoes, Griffin thrash wheat Moran thrash wheat till dinner, then drill one stone & help in with tatoes, George about pigs &e, kill a roaster, churn & saw up slabs, Collins put in new door frame under Gran:, & about the gang-way over it______ Self mend halter, flail & about sundries_

19 Saturday. James work sawmill till 10 o'C, help in Gristmill till noon, saw again, Muldoon came at noon thrash peas, Peter thrash peas in morn:, help clean up wheat, cart down wheat & pea-straw till dinner, then about sundries, Griffin clean up wheat in morn:, then about pigs, steam & mix tatoes & about sundries, Moran help clean up the wheat, & help with the straw till dinner, at sundries for a start, then thrash wheat, George about pigs &e in morn: then went home ill_____ Collins at sundries in morn:, to J.B. Monk till dinner, then put a new leg to a half table & at Gran: gang-way__ Self work Gristmill for 2 or 3 hours, then look about__

20 Sunday. Church P.M.

21 Monday. James saw till dinner, turn oats & saw again, Muldoon finish plough in 16 Acre-feild by dinner, then began fallow in Creek-feil, Peter, Moran & O'Neil house tatoes & turn oats, Griffin about pigs &e, steam tatoes &e, saw wood & at sundries____ George ill___ Self kill a roater, to M r T. Read's funeral; then see to oats & tatoes_____

22 Tuesday. James saw till dinner, finish cart in oats_ Muldoon about horses in morn:, plough fallow in Creekfeild, Peter & Moran at sundries in morn: bring in tatoes & finish bind oats__ O'Neil reap corn-stalks in morn:, then help at tatoes & oats, Griffin about pigs &e, help at tatoes & bind do_ till dinner, then help cart it in__ George ill__ Self repair g tatoe bins & at sundries__

23 Wednesday. James work sawmill, Muldoon about horses in morn:, plough for an hour, thrash peas till noon, then plough N. side Old Pigfeild; Peter at sundries & thrash peas till dinner, then cart in tatoes, Griffin at sundries in morn:, kill a roaster & thrash wheat till dinner, help at tatoes, Moran at sundries in morn:, thrash wheat till dinner, help at tatoes, O'Neil reap corn-stalks in morn:, help in with a few logs to mill after break-fast, then off home__ George about pigs &e, steam & mix tatoes, saw wood__

 

 

 

24 Thursday. James work Sawmill, Muldoon about horses in morn: finish plough N. side Old Pigfeild, by dinner, then at S o side again; Peter & Moran cart brush out of Old Pigfeild in morn:, then cart stones out of Woodfeild on to road, Griffin at sundries & take up last of tatoes in garden by dinner, then out some apple-trees till near 4 o'C, then help at stones above road, George about pigs &e, pick apples, cut down asparagus_______

25 Friday. James saw in morn:, then take out his tatoes, Muldoon about horses in morn:, then plough__ Peter, Griffin, Moran at sundries in morn:, then bring in tatoes, George about pigs &e, kill a roaster, churn, finish cut down asparagus beds_____ Self at sundries till near 11 o'C, then dressed & went to meet M r James Read's funeral
