for cordwood till after_dinner, saw wood

& about sundries; Tom the same till dinner,

then break the road with oxen & bring home

about ½ a load; Griffni thrash Bl k .. Sea, left the

barn for a start before noon because he

was so cold, he split some wood, Tooley at home;

George about cattle &e, boil 2 hats tatoes & about

sundries____ Self fil g .. & fixing wood_saws_

18Wednesday. James about horses in morn.., split big

junks of hardwood, draw a load hay from

little barn.. to cow_loft & about sundries; Tooley

not here; Tom about horses in morn.., pile

wood, in shed, help down with the hay & at sundries;

Griffin thrash wheat for a start in morn.., saw wood

till dinner, because he could not stand the cold, then

thrash again; George about cattle &e______

19Thursday. James & Tom about horses in morn.., edge

up axes, chop hard_wood; Tooley at home;

Griffin thrash Bl k .. Sea & about sundries;

George about cattle &e__ Self to Ottawa___

20Friday. James about horses in morn.., clean &

measure up wheat till dinner, draw it

down, dox a load straw & about sundries;

Tom about horses in morn.., chop hardwood;

Tooley at home; Griffin thrash in morn.., help

clean up wheat, help with the straw & about

sundries; George about cattle &e____ Self about

1 ½ miles beyond Aylmer & back to dinner, in double sleigh,

stow away wheat, drive out with Duke & Liss__

21Saturday. James about horses in morn.., draw bushes for

road & help plant, em; Tom about horses in

morn.., cut & load bushes till dinner, then bush

road; Tooley at home; Griffin thrash wheat

in morn.., help bush road; George about cattle

22Sunday. Church P.M.

23Monday. James about horses in morn.., cut a new water_hole

& finish bush the road by dinner, harness horses to

double sleigh & a_x the ice to take down the fences_

Tom about horses in morn.., chop hard_wood; Tooley at

home; Griffin thrash wheat & a_x the ice to help take

down fences; George about cattle &e, boil 2 pots tatoes

& about sundries____ Self help finish bush the road

& do_ do_ till dinner, then a_x the ice in double sleigh_

sawlog bush & bring home 1.2 load green maple

by 2 o 'C, then draw down a load wheat_straw &

about sundries, Tom about horses in morn..,

help break sawlog road, chop hard_wood;

Tooley at home; Griffin thrash wheat, help down

with straw; George about cattle &e____

Self to A.L.Smith's, Edward's & O'Neil's about hay

till 1½ o 'C, then with colts to Berry's Rob ts .. & Mr Smith's

wood in morn.., then both chop hardwood; Griffin

straw; then thrash oats; George about cattle &e_

Self drive Duke in cutler till dinner, then

took Kate to Rob ts .. in cutter with Liz___
