           straw, then thrash wheat, John about cattle etc., help down with straw and thrash oats ~

2.Wednesday. James about horses, cattle &c., & thrash Blk- Sea, John ill - Self to Ottawa with J-Pinhey & brought up the piano ~

3. Thursday James about horses, split some wood then thrash Blk-Sea, John about house & sundries - etc., Self fodder cattle &c in the morn:. fix up piano, put boards to Cellar door by dinner, fix up the seales & at sundries ~

4. Friday James about horses in morn:. help sort tatoes for pigs and thrash Blk-Sea till dinner then clean it up, John about cattle &c., & steam tatoes, help clean up the wheat - Self at repairs about parlour & hall doors till dinner, then weigh hides, burn lamp as in Dart .

5 Saturday. James about horses in morn:., then thrash Blk-Sea, John about cattle &c., mix pigs food, thrash oat  ~ Self to Ottawa with wheat & the hides  ~

6. Sunday Church P.M. no Rolph, Ham & John up to dinner & off in the evening, Self took Rate and children a drive ~

7. Monday. James about horses in morn:. at Sundries & saw wood till dinner, then salt pork & do up the things, John about house till breakfast, then at wood for himself --- Self file Father's hardwood saw, and to Rolstons with Father till dinner then cut-up the Baskin pig, to J.. Streets in the evening, had tea

8. Tuesday. James about horses, help clean chimney & pipes, & draw down a load wheat-straw before dinner, then at sundries and thrash wheat, John about sundries, sweep chimneys till dinner, then went home to saw wood  ~  Self about chimneys & pipes, fodder cattle morn: and even^g. ~

9. Wednesday. James about horses & sundries till .11 ^O’C... then thrash wheat till dinner, at sundries again & thrash wheat, John at home ~ Self at sundries and put on slips around hall door, fodder cattle &c., morn:  & even^g ---- Ham & Charley came up a little after dark

10. Thursday. James about horses in morn: draw down wheat & oat straw, then thrash wheat, John sundries & help in horse stable in morn:. help down with straw, thrash oats and saw some soft wood --- Self at repairs under old stairs between pantry doors, fodder Cows and sheep in morn.. & all the cattle and foals in even^g...~ Ham and Charley went back again after breakfast

11. Friday. James at home ill, John about horses in morn:, about sundries till 11ºC., thrash oats till 3 ºC., then saw wood & sundries ---- Self to Aylmer with old cutter to mend, got back to dinner about 3½ ºC., then take out Chase & Dart to exercise them, fodder cattle morn: & even^g ~

12. Saturday. James about horses in morn:. measure up tatoes till dinner, finish measure & load up, then split and saw wood, John sundries & help in horse stable in the morn:. then at sundries & steam tatoes till dinner, helps load up tatoes, then saw wood, &c., ---- Self fodder cattle in morn, do some more repairs between pantry doors till dinner, then to Aylmer with tatoes & Lard ----

13. Sunday. Church A.M. no parson - Ham, Charley & John came up last night & went back this afternoon ----

14. Monday. James about horses in morn, draw in 1 load hardwood, then draw down a load oat - straw by dinner, then clean up oats, John about house thrash oats & help with straw, then help clean up ---- Self to hard-wood bush with James to look at my wood & at sundries till dinner, then at repairs under old stairs, fodder some of cattle morn: and even^g

15. Tuesday. James help do horses in morning then at wood for himself, John about house & sundries & thrash peas ~

Self at repairs in pantry till dinner, then to Berry's with double sleigh, then at sundries & do up horses ----

16. Wednesday. James about horses, thrash wheat, saw soft-wood, John about cattle &c., & thrash peas ---- Self file both my wood saws & rip-saw by dinner, then plane up some peices for old stairs & about sundries, help do up horses Mc’Mullin to Ottawa in cutter after dinner, Ham brought up Mercer in the in the evening ---
