16Monday. James load wagon &at sundries in morn.. work
sawmill till noon , then grind axes till dinner, then
fall & crosscut sawlogs, John put horses to wagon, then
off home with sore finger, Tom help load wagon & about
sundries in morn.., then at dung heap & help cut logs
Self to Ottawa with the Wool, Anne with me____
17Tuesday. James in sawmill & at dung_heap, John at home,
Tom draw in 9 sawlogs____ Self got back about 11½ o 'C.
at night, every one a bed but Father & Con..___
18Wednesday. James at dung in morn. help put away flour
&e 4 at dung till dinner, then work sawmill,
John at home, Tom at sundries & draw in 4 sawlogs
by dinner, then at dung_heap ___ Self measure g .. B ds . &e.
19Thursday. James at his brothers, John at dung_heap and,
about sundries___ Self measure g .. boards &e,
put some hoop iron on carriage pole till about
4 o 'C. then get ready & off to Ottawa on horse_back with Con..
20Friday. James no work till noon , then roll oats in
Barryfield, John & Tom at dung & sundries__
Self & Con.. got back about 9 ½ o 'C._______
21Saturday. James help bring back the saws & at
dung heap till 3 o 'C. the work sawmill,
John at dung heap & about sundries,
Tom at Aylmer____Self file Millsaw,
finish repair pole of carriage, iron hoop wagon [peb]
22Sunday. Church P.M.
23Monday. James sundries & scuffle tatoes in Old
Pigfield by dinner, then hoe head_ridges,
work sawmill till near 6 o 'C. then began to
scuffle tatoes in Barryfield, John about
dung, heap & sundries till dinner, then off
to fish, John at home ______
Self rig out the Carriage & down the
township with Father Con.. & little Mary till dinner, then
up to Smith's &e__ & about sundries____
24Tuesday. James scuffle tatoes in Barryfield, help up with
Millstone, John at dung_heap & about sundries,
Tom ill ____ . Self help get up Mill_stone, rigup
the new grindstone, try to bleed the lame ox____
25Wednesday. James at wood for himself till dinner, then
mould tatoes in Old Pigfield, John at dung_heap,
& help in gristmill, Tom ill____ Self at sundries,
in morn..., hoop iron new grindstone trough, & help at
some repairs in gristmill about plumbing spindle__
26Thursday. James sundries & fix up head ridges in Old
Pigfield in morn.., help down with the
stone & in gristmill till dinner, then at sundries
& world Sawmill, John at dung heap & help.
down with stone, Tom ill____ Self help in
gristmill & grind some peas till dinner, then
bore a hole in each bucket of water wheel to let
out waste water, & at other repairs in gristmill__
27Friday. James scuffle tatoes in Barryfield 2 nd .. time;
John at sundries in morn.. hoe thistles
among tatoes, Tom not here______
Self & Con.. do Wainman's, Miss Emma Read
went with us to the corners, got back about 3 o 'C.____
28Saturday. James & John to Aylmer , Tom not here __
Self do the water, measure plank & at sundries
till dinner, bottle some high wines, file both softwood
29Sunday. Charley came by steamer yesterday, & went across
the water for John after dark___
& they went back as far as Aylmer late
this evening___
30Monday. James mould tatoes in Barryfield,
John at sundries in morn.., at dung heap for a
little while, then weed tatoes & mould up part of
the head ridges, pull wild mustard out of oats
next M r .. Read's____ Self sundries till dinner, then
file Randsow, take up half of Cow_loft floor___

1Tuesday. James & John at home, ill__ Self sundries in
morn.., put a new beam in Cowloft, relax some of the floor_
2Wednesday. James sundries on morn.., bore bunks & help put top_
logs on little Pigfield fence, John sundries & at dung heap__
