1 Sunday. Self took Kate & children to Rob ts , came home by Rider's & Lake road, M rs Greene & Anna with us__

2 Monday. James about horses, draw down a load oat straw & the large sawlog cut last June, then finish shovel watering place for horses soon after dinner, then thrash wheat, John water from river in morn - , help with the straw & sawlog, clean up watering place for cattle about 3 o'C, then thrash oats___ Self fodder cattle morn - & even g , draw in 2 cord hardwood by dinner, then take the Grey out along with Spring to exercise, had Con - Kate &e with me___

3 Tuesday. James about horses, X cut dry pine, grind axes, John not here in morn - , clean out cow-stable &e, to the post on Charley, then thrash oats___ Rider help X cut & girnd axes____ Self fodder cattle morn - & even g , draw home 5 load wood____

4 Wednesday. James about horses in morn - , grind my axe a little, then fall & prepare 30 sawlogs for X cutting, Rider carry water in morn - , then same as James, John help about horses in morn - , then at sundries___ Self fodder cattle morn - & even g , drove the men to sawlog bush on wood-sleigh, clean stove-pipes & chimneys by dinner, file X cut & about sundries___

5 Thursday. James about horses in morn - , then fall & prepare 26 sawlogs for X cutting, Rider load sleigh in morn - , then at do , John about house & thrash oats___ Self to steam mill & on to Ottawa, Con - with me____

6 Friday. James about horses in morn - , grind axes, then X cut 28 logs, Rider with James__ John help with horses in morn - , then about house & sundries____ Self fodder cattle in morn - file new X cut & set it, take the men to sawlog bush & bring home 1 load wood by dinner, weigh up the flour, draw in the last load of wood, then help do up the things__

7 Saturday. James about horses in morn - , X cut 30 sawlogs, John help at do in morn - , then about house & thrash oats____ Rider help at sawlogs_____ Self fodder cattle in morn - , to Aylmer about sundries, got back to a late dinner, file Father's hardwood saw, help do up the things______

8 Sunday. Ham, Marry Anne, little Ham, Charley & John came up last even g ___ John took straw from Old Cellar door, began to uncover drain, found it of no use, out the water twice during the day____

9 Monday. James about horses in morn - , then lay up 20 logs, Rider help at logs, John bring up river water in morn - , clean out stables &c, carry water out of cellar, winnow oats____ Self fodder cattle &e, in morn - , to Rob ts for M rs Greene & Anna till dinner, then file X cut & Father's softwood saw, help do up______

10 Tuesday. James about horses in morn - , then lay up 23 sawlogs, Rider help at sawlogs, John help about horses in morn - , clean out stables &c, finish clean up oats & draw them down, carry water out of cellar, do up the things____ Self fodder cattle &e in morn., file both my wood-saws, help do up____

11 Wednesday. James about horses in morn - , then home with hurt shoulder, John at home till noon, then at sundries till dinner, then harness horses &e, fill tatoe steambox, do all the things up____ Self fodder cattle &e in morn - , then about sundries, bottle off water, rig the bobs for sawlogs by dinner, then to Aylmer_____

12 Thursday. James about horses in morn - , then make a new rollway & part of the road to it, Rider with him, John help about horses in morn., clean out stables &c, carry water out of cellar, thrash wheat, do all up at night____ Self at rollway & road____

13 Friday. James at horses in morn - , finish do & do by noon, then lay up 13 logs including 2 or 3 laid up yesterday, Rider with him, John help about horses in morn - , then about sundries & thrash wheat____ Self fodder cattle in morn - , at road & rollway till noon, came home to dinner, put 2 new st in water sleigh____________

14 Saturday. James about horses in morn - , then fall & X cut 20 logs, Rider help at sawlogs, John help at horses & load up the beef in morn - , about house & sundries, thrash wheat____ Self to Ottawa , Charley came up with me___
