17 Saturday. James about horses in morn - , varnish carriage & cutter harness, John sundries in morn - , sweep out log barn & draw 2 load hay from little log barn to cow loft & split wood till dinner, clean out grain stable & at sundries____ Self finish crutch____

18 Sunday. Church P.M. Self took Kate & baby to John Streets & on to Luton late in even g , had in the grey mare____

19 Monday. James about horses in morn - , thrash wheat & at sundries, John get water from river in morn - , finish about house, then thrash peas____ Self took Susson's ram home & brought in my own, stopped at the brewery on my way back about 1 o'C, burnt lamp as out of all the horses, file woodsaw___

20 Tuesday. James about horses, thrash wheat, John at sundries in morn - finish about house, thrash peas, do up cattle &e at night_____ Self fodder cattle &e in morn - , draw in 2 load wood by dinner, then draw some on to lake-road & 1 load home_____

21 Wednesday. James about horses, thrash wheat, John feed pigs & bring in water in morn - , clean out cow house &e, up lake-road with oxen for a load of green bushes for sheep, finish thrash peas by dinner, then clean them up, help do up the things____ Self help get the bow's for sheep, file cross-cut & my hardwood saw, put handle in ax, bore holes in Spring's floor____

22 Thursday. James about horses, finish thrashing Bl k Sea, clean it up & put it in mill, John sundries in morn., draw peas to gran - , thrash a start with James, then help clean up &e____ Self fodder cows morn - & even g , store away peas, draw 2 load wood out of woods and one load home by dinner, repair Spring's rack, bore Dart stall___

23 Friday. James about horses in morn - , draw down 3 load Bl k Sea straw, the last, & 1 load dry pine logs by dinner, then draw dry pine logs till night, John fodder cattle &e in morn - clean up both watering-places, help stow away straw, sweep out log-bran & began to thrash oats before dinner, clean out foal's stable & thrash again____ Self put rope handles to Crutch, put down false floor under glenny cow, put up some harness pins in stable___ fodder cows & help do up horses__

24 Saturday. James about horses, grind axes, draw home dry pine logs till dinner, then draw a log in for George & one of the big sawlogs cut last June, John about house in morn - , finish about stables, put out some chaff, to the Post on Charley, thrash oats till dinner, then about house____ Self hang up Cow-loft & gran - stable ladder & at sundries____

25 Sunday. Self very poorly all day, took Kate &e, M rs Greene & Anna to John Streets, then back to Rob ts , returned by Athens & Lake-road.

26 Monday. James about horses, draw home dry pine on crutch, John fodder cattle &e & draw river water in morn - , at sundries till 10½ o'C, then thrash oats___ Self to Aylmer after Cutter____

27 Tuesday. James about horses, draw in dry pine, John sundries in morn - , cross-cut do_____ Self fodder cattle in morn, draw in cord wood_____

28 Wednesday. James same as yesterday, John bring in water, steam tatoes, X cut dry pine, Rider help X cut both days____ Self fodder cattle in morn - , draw in 3 cord wood, then at sundries & help at cattle.

29 Thursday. James about horses, draw in dry pine, John fodder cattle &e morn - & even g , steam tatoes, thrash oats, Rider fall dry pine___ Self to Ottawa____

30 Friday. James about horses, X cut dry pine & split some, John at wood for himself____ Rider saw some wood & help X cut____ Self fodder cattle morn - & even g , pile X cut & down to Streets &e by dinner, then rivet nosepiece on bob-sleigh & about sundries____

31 Saturday. James about horses in morn - , then to Aylmer , John at wood for himself____ Fred thrash wheat____ Self to Aylmer with rear bob-sleigh & sundries to get repaired____
