1 Friday. James work Sawmill, John about horses & plough in 12 Acre-foield, Rider saw wood in morn - cart dung to Old Pigfield, Griffin about cattle &e, plough 2 nd grassland___ Self out of doors for a good while before & after dinner_____

2 Saturday. James work Sawmill, John about horses in morn - , put on a boiller of tatoes & plough till noon, then mix pigs food & about sundries, Rider saw wood in morn - , cart dung to Old Pigfield till noon, sort the Snows & about sundries, Griffin about cattle &e in morn - , then to Aylmer__

3 Sunday. Church A.M. Self about a good while today, in house all yesterday__

4 Monday. James work Sawmill, John about horses in morn - , plough in Barnfield, N o side drain, Rider about cattle &e in morn - , finish plough 2 nd peice grassland in 16 Acre-field, all but 3 or 4 times round head-ridge by dinber, roll 1 st sowing of peas, do up things, Griffin not here___ Self out of doors for a good while___

5 Tuesday. James work Sawmill till dinner, then repair a great leak in W st corner of lower flume & saw again, John about horses, help with hay, roll logs to Mill by dinner, repair g fences, weigh hay & aboutsundries, Rider fodder cattle &e in morn, weigh hay & aboutsundries, Rider fodder cattle &e in morn - , draw 1 load hay to Horses & 1 to Cow-loft, & draw logs to Mill by dinner, then at fences & draw in a log for Alice, Griffin up by Steamer, got his breakfast, then pile boards & plank, do up cattle &e___

6 Wednesday. James work Sawmill, John about horses in morn - , grind axes till dinner, then at sundries, pile boards, Griffin about cattle &e, cut some Rusty-coats, pile boards___ Self out a good while in afternoon___

7 Thursday. James ran 2 or 3 cuts when the leak he mended on Tuesday bust out, repaired it again & was sawing before dinner, John about horses, split long pine logs & about sundries, Rider chop softwood, Griffin about cattle &e, boil a pot of tatoes & mix for the sows, pile lumber__ Con - to Ottawa by Steamer___ Self see to repair g leak in flume, take down Porches___

8 Friday. James work Sawmill & repair a burst in upper flume, John about horses, finish cart dung to Old Pigfield & cart a few load to Churchfield, Rider split wood in morn - chop soft-wood, help in with logs to Mill, Griffin about cattle &e in morn - , cart dung to Chirfh-field till dinner, then draw logs to Mill, finish plough 2 nd peice of grassland & cart dung again____ M c Mullin plant tatoes and dig for tatoes_

9 Saturday. James work Sawmill, Rider split wood in morn - help weigh hay, harrow wheat till about 5 o'C, then cart dung, Griffin about cattle &e in morn - cart harrow g wheat to field plough a head-ridge, then cart dung to Chuch-field__ M c Mullin sow a bed of peas, dig for tatoes, pull off [??]

10 Sunday. Thunderstorm with some hail A.M. M rs Greene here to dinner, did not go back on act. of wet even g __

11 Monday. James work Sawmill, put a new cog in gig, Rider about horses in morn - , spread dung in Old Pigfield till dinner, cart dung to Churchfield & put John & his wife across, Griffin about cattle &e in morn - , then plough in Old Pigfield N o Side drain____ John weather bound, took Spring & Dart to Wainman's to be shod, for which I gave him 1/3___

12 Tuesday. James work Sawmill & repair 2 leaks & at repairs about water-gate, Griffin about cattle &e & spread dung in Old Pigfield in morn - , plough it in & cart a load hay to Cow-loft, Peter Logan about horses & help spread dung in morn - , harrow peas in 2 nd piece of Lay hill about 5 o'C, then plough back of M c Mullins___ Self measure oats for O'Neil & about things__ Do_ plant tatoes in garden for me & about sundries__

13 Wednesday. James saw in morn - , roll pieces, & cart 3 or 4 loads earth to repair covered drain in Banfield by dinner, then saw again, Griffin hunt for a sheep & about house in morn - , finish plough for tatoes in Old Pigfield about half past ten, then plough in Barnfield for whea,t Peter about horses & cut tatoes in morn - , then plough in 12 Acre-field for awhile, M c Mullin plant tatoes for me in gharden & gather tatoes tops in field__
