Streets, Griffin at sundries in morn - , split pickets & help on with top bunks till 6 o'C, then to Berry's for bee, could not get it, Major at dung-heap___ Self at sundries in morn - , look about things till dinner, notch on top bunks_____

11 Thursday. James to Ottawa in waggon with the wool, Griffin £10 ~ help load waggon, no work all day on act. of rain, Major
at dung & sundries for a start, till heavy rain began___
Self took dinner at Rob ts , then to Ottawa by Emerald____

12 Friday. James in Ottawa , Griffin about sundries in morn - , then at dung-heap, Major at dung-heap____ Self in Ottawa_______

13 Saturday. James got back about 12½ o'C, help unload waggon, got dinner, went to harrow tatoes in Churchfield, but had taken too much to drink, Griffin at sundries & dung-heap till about 10 o'C, then to Rob ts for my trunk & on to Berry's for beer, saw wood, dig out stones in Ritch - garden & at sundries, Major at dung-heap, harrow tatoes in Churchfield____ Self returned from Ottawa by Aylmer, with a bad cold_____

14 Sunday. Church A.M. Rolph came not___ Rec d Montreal bank

15 Monday. James sundries in morn - , work dividend £10..__..__ Sawmill till dinner, then dig up hop roots & stones after plough, repair slash fence at upper end of Woodfield, & at sundries, Griffin draw the big stone out of kitchen garden & at sundries in morn - then cart one load out, & plough it, Major about sundries in morn - , then roll all the wheat____ Self rode the Grey to Jay's in afternoon_____

16 Tuesday. James cart a small load hay to Horse-loft from log Barn, in morn - , then at sundries & measure up Snows for the Steamer till dinner, then work Sawmill, Griffin at Wilson's, Major help down with hay, about dung-heap & sundries_____ George absent yesterday till noon_____ Self altered the boar after breakfast, then to O'Neils on the Grey__

17 Wednesday. James work Sawmill, file the saw, to J. Streets with Grey mare & at sundries on his return, Griffin no here, Major at dung-heap for a start after breakfast, at near chopping till dinner, then at sundries till about 5 o'C, & at do again, O'Neil grind ax & at chopping same as Major_______ Self put new handle to pickax, put 2 new rivets in handle of rip-saw______

18 Thursday. James at dung-heap in morn - , to Rob ts wharf with tatoes & on to Berry's for beer, got none, he was not home, grind an ax & at sundries till dinner, then work Sawmill, Griffin sundries in morn - , help down with the tatoes, & help grind ax for George, then both off to the chopping, Major & O'Neil at dung in morn - then at the do________ Self repair a leak in under flume & about sundries____

19 Friday. James work Sawmill till dinner, repair a leak in dam & saw again, Griffin sundries in morn - , then at chopping, Major & O'Neil at chopping___ George at do from breakfast time_____ Self putting up shelves in Old Cellar______

20 Saturday. James work Sawmill in morn - , file the saw, to Rob ts for the tatoe bags, repair g dam till about 4½ o'C. & saw again, Griffin at sundries in morn - put on 2 small pots of tatoes, then at the chopping till dinner, mix for pigs, roll logs off wharf & at do again, Major & O'Neil at the chopping___ George at the chopping____ Self finish off shelf & about sundries till dinner, repair g dam, put stops to ice house door____

21 Sunday. M rs Greene to dinner, Self to Rob ts in afternoon__

22 Monday. James work Sawmill till about 4 o'C, roll a few logs to Mill, measure up oats & peas in Gran - , mix 'em in Mill, Griffin sundries in morn - , then at the chopping, Major & O'Neil at dung-heap in morn - , then at the chopping___ Self look about____

23 Tuesday. James saw till dinner, at dung heap about 2 hours, measure up peas, help in Gristmill till 6 o'C. then saw again, Major & O'Neil at chopping till dinner, at dung-heap for about an hour & do__ again, Griffin ill_____ Self making crotch, work Gristmill______
