wood for himself, Mu v ldo v on thrash & 1 st run

his wheat, Peter finish thrash peas on same side with the

oats about o 'C, then saw hardwood , do up the horses,

Griffin sundries in morn: saw & split hardwood,

George about cattle &c Self still very poorly__

23 Friday. James about horses morn: & even g , help weigh, cup up,

salt & otherwise stow away young pork, Mu v ldoo v n

about his wheat, Peter v not here, Griffin not well,

went home after dinner__ George fodder cattle &c

morn: & even g help cut up pork, mix last steamer of tatoes .

Self a little better to day, took a little mutton

at dinner___ Tom & Clara to dinner, Miss Butler went

home with them immediately after___

24 Saturday. James about horse morn: & even g _, draw down

pea-straw & some hardwood to sheds, then

help clean up peas & put them in Gran:, Mu v ldo v on

sundries in morn:, help down with pea-straw,

& clean up peas till dinner, draw wood at home.

25 Sunday. X-mas day too, church A.M. Benning came in

26 Monday. James about horses morn: & even g to the Brewery &

to Rob ts in Cutter, brought up M rs Greene, then

saw wood & at sundries, Muldoon & Peter at

sundries in morn:, then chop & draw in wood for

Self something better to day___

27 Tuesday. James about horses in morn: & even g saw wood for

a start, then at ice with Spring in train to

shovel the snow off the large rock, then get a load

bushes by dinner, then bush part of road___

wood in morn:, sweep out barn,

then with James about the road___ Griffin here

at dusk___ George about cattle &c, saw wood__

till noon, then to Ottawa with Mary &

Constance in the cutter, Muldoon & Peter at

sundries in morn;, then cut & draw wood

for Ge v org v e ___ Griffin sundries in morn:,

then thrash wheat___ George about cattle &c,

saw wood, put straw to meat cellar door___

Self something better to day, eat some grapes___

M r & Miss Butler called after dinner____

29 Thursday. James about horses morn: & even g bush g

road, Muldoon at sundries in morn:, then

help bush road, Peter v at home, Griffin thrash

wheat, George about cattle &c morn: & even g went

a-X with 1 st load bushes to bring back horse s , wash

out beer keg__ put up Ham's horse, to Brewery

till very late dinner & at sundries____

D r Hill came about 11½ o 'C, & remained till 4 o 'C___

30 Friday. James about horses & fodder cattle in morn:,

a-X to see Herdman about open g old road

finish the bush g of road by dinner, thrash wheat,

Muldoon saw wood in morn: draw soft-wood

from Old yard & 1 load wheat-straw to Cow-loft,

Peter thrash oats in morn:, about bush-road

till dinner, at oats again, Griffin thrash

wheat in morn:, finish do up cattle, help down oats

with the straw, shift some sawed wood &

thrash again, Geo v rge v ill till noon, then at sundries___

31 Saturday. James about horses in morn:, to Aylmer with Filo

in cutter & back at 2 o 'C. then after hay, Muldoon draw

soft-wood from Old yard, draw some hardwood to sheds, Peter

thrash oats till noon, help clean up wheat, Griffin thrash &

clean up wheat__ George about cattle &c & sundries
