1.Saturday. James about horses, work saw mill put,
away steambox, Muldoon saw & split
wood till dinner, clean up peas & draw 'em
down, Peter thrash peas till dinner, then
clean 'em up, Griffin only shelled some corn__
George about pigs, cattle &e__ Self a little better__
2Sunday. Church P.M. Robt.. Mary_Jane, Mr.. Butler & the
two Berry 's looked in after_they all came in sleighs_
3Monday. James about horses in morn.., rig out wood_sleigh,
fill up wheat & e, attend to cattle, pigs &e, Muldoon
sundries in morn.. & until dinner, then to Ottawa___
Peter thrash oats & at sundries for a start__ Griffin at
sundries & kill 4 sheep, George ill___ Self not very well
4Tuesday. James at the fair, Muldoon returned just
at dark, Peter saw wood & at sundries till
dinner, went to the post, thrash oats, Griffin
about sundries, cut mutton into quarters &
thrash wheat for a while, George about cattle,
pigs &e______ Self repour a flail after break_
_fast; a little better since noon______
5Wednesday. James help weigh & stow away flour,
& about various jobs, Muldoon about
horses in morn.., saw wood & at sundries
till dinner, then draw soft_wood over
from Old yard, Pet er thrash oats, Griffin
butcher 6 W. lambs , George about cattle, pigs,
&e, scrape & wash So.. porch___ Self mending___
6Thursday. James about horses in morn.., cut up the
mutton & at sundries till dinner, then help
remove sawlogs, Muldoon saw wood, draw
down oat straw & at sundries till dinner, then
draw sawlogs nearer to mill, Peter thrash oats
till dinner, help at sawlogs, Griffin thrash
wheat, George about cattle, pigs &e____
7Friday. James about horses in morn.., shift_sawlogs,
& at sundries till dinner, then clean wheat__
Muldoon saw wood, draw sawlogs & at
sundries till dinner, then in cutter to the
widow Water's; took Miss Butler out___
Peter thrash oats in morn.., help at sawlogs
till noon , thrash again, Griffin thrash
wheat till dinner, then clean up______
George about cattle, pigs &e, sweep 1 chim..
& help clean 2 set of pipes____
Self much better, helped with the pipes____
8Saturday. James about horses in morn.., at sundries
& put wheat in mill, then off explore g ..
for sawlogs, Muldoon draw down oat___
_straw in morn.. finish measure up & put
wheat in mill, then explore road to get at
sawlogs, Peter help with straw in morn..,
clean up & stow away pats & at sundries____
Griffin saw wood in morn.., finish up
wheat, help with oats & at sundries____
George about cattle, pigs &e, pull wool off
3 sheep_skins____ Self no so well as yesterday__
9Sunday. Church A.M. Self cat some roast fowl for
dinner, went out for an hour in afternoon.
10Monday. James about horses, help butcher cow till
dinner, then at sundries, Muldoon saw
wood & bring up water for wash g .. in morn..,
help about cow & saw wood till dinner, then at
sundries, Peter saw wood & help carry up the
water in morn.., help with cow for a start,
then thrash peas, Griffin sundries in morn..,
butcher cow till dinner, wash out barn, cut up
the head, saw down the beef & sundries____
George about cattle, pigs &e, pull off wool___
Self a little better, had boiled fowl for dinner__
11Tuesday. James about horses, help weigh, cut up, & put
beef in gran.. till dinner, then salt beef
& at sundries, Muldoon draw hard wood
down to shed & at sundries, Peter thrash peas___
Griffin saw wood in morn.., weigh & cut up
beef till dinner, then at sundries____ George
about cattle, pigs, &e_ finish pull off the wool__
put pea straw on vines __ Self only middling,
atthin ded to cut any of beef
