peas, help about cow for a while, Griffin saw wood
in morn.. butcher cow till dinner, shell corn & at
sundries, George about cattle, pigs, &e, shut up S o ..
cellar door for winter & at sundries____
Self something better; at sundries & file meat_saw_
13Thursday. James about horses, examine & do something
about leak in dam till dinner, then to
Armitage's & down to Rob ts &e, Muldoon saw
wood in morn.., help at mill_dam till dinner,
saw wood & at sundries, Peter at home, Griffin
do_ do_ in morn.., help weigh, cut up & put
beef in gran.. till dinner, wash out barn & at
sundries, George about cattle, pigs &e, help at
cutt g .. up beef, wash out barrel & salt the beef_
Self much same as yesterday, attend cutting up do__
14Friday. James about horses, help butcher pigs, Muldoon
draw down a load straw in morn.., then draw
wood for George , Peter help with straw in morn..,
then help at pigs, Griffin get water ready in
morn.., then butcher spring pigs, George about
cattle, pigs &e, wash out 2 pork barrels____
Self not quite so well as yesterday____
15Saturday. James about horses, help weigh, out up, & put
pork in gran.. till dinner, finish salting the
pork, cut up the heads, Muldoon draw down a
load straw in morn.., then at wood for himself,
Peter at do__ in morn.., thrash peas, Griffin put
out chaffin morn.., shell corn, saw & split
wood & about sundries, George about cattle, pigs
&e, wash 2 more pork barrels & salt 1b l .. pull till
dinner, then at sundries____ Self rather weak,
help a little at cutting up pork___
16Sunday. Church P.M. Charles came up by land
got here, soap after dark___
17Monday. James about horses, help butcher pigs,
Muldoon to Rob ts in morn.. help with pigs__
Griffin get water ready in do_ butcher do__
George about cattle &e, & about sundries__
Charley went back after breakfast a-X the ice,
Rob t with him__ Self not very well all day__
18Tuesday. James draw wood for himself, Muldoon
about horses, help carry up, weigh pigs, & saw
wood till dinner, then at sundries, Griffin
sawg.. down pigs in morn.., help weigh & cut
up pigs____ George about cattle &e, help carry
up do, wash 4 barrels & salt the pork____
Self something better; attend to cutting up pigs__

with Poll, brought in the girl from Tom Smith's -

Self repair g .. flails, & repair a pail___
22Saturday. James about horses in morn, to Brewery
for yeast & at sundries tell dinner,
put wheat in mill, saw wood & at sundries___
Muldoon clean up & measure wheat till
dinner, help stow it away, saw hardwood & at sundries,
Griffin clean up & measure wheat till dinner, then.
George about cattle &e, & at sundries______
Self at sundries, till dinner, board up back of water pipe
