23 Friday. James & Peter grind axes in morn: then at stumps_ Muldoon & Griffin at stumps, George off in a pet__ Collins about mill race__ Self help at mill race_

24 Saturday. James at sundries in morn:, at stumps till dinner, then work sawmill, Muldoon & Peter at stumps till dinner, then to the woods after cedar riders, Griffin at sundries about house till dinner, then at stumps, Collins about mill-race, paint Old back-door & roof of stone Privy______ Ham & family, John & family landed here by the boat________

25 Sunday. Church P.M. James took Hammy Hill in buggy as far as Sisson's in afternoon to meet his own do_ & man__ John's little boy christened John Charles_____

26 Monday. James sundries in morn:, put riders on fence till 3 o'C, grind scythe for peas & at stumps, Muldoon draw old rails for pickets & to woods for a load riders till noon, then at sundries, Peter make pickets & put riders on fence, help grind scythe & at stumps, Griffin at sundries about house, to woods after the riders, dress down hay in cow-loft__ Self measure lumber, John Pinhey off by the boat__

27 Tuesday. James at sundries in morn:, work sawmill till 4½ o'C, then mow peas, Muldoon hunt up 3 year old Lay heiffer in morn:, mow peas, Peter mow peas____ Griffin at sundries about house & mow peas__ Collins at frames &e for mill-race____ Ham, Mary-Anne & Constance off by the boat, took the two eldest girls with 'em; Self took Mary-Anne & luggage to the wharf in buggy____ Biddy resumed work at noon__

28 Wednesday. James, Muldoon & Peter mow peas till 5 o'C, then at stumps, Griffin at sundries about house, mow peas & at stumps____ Collins at race___ Self about mill-race & measure boards_____

 

 

 

 

 

29 Thursday. James help grind cradle scythes in morn:, then help take down old mill-race, Muldoon & Griffin reap, bind & stuke wheat, Peter grind old grind scythe in morn: then reap wheat__ George at sundries about house, up & down the township to borrow a reap-hook till noon, then take nails out of Old race & help turn some peas___ Collins a tressel to go under the race__ Self repair old cradle in morn:, take down old race & level up string pieces________

30 Friday. James pile boards in morn:, help about race__ Muldoon & Griffin reap, bind &e Bl k Sea__ Peter at wheat & help at race for a while___ George at sundries in garden & help at race for about 2 hours, Collins mak g the trussle & help rig up part of race_____ Self fix part of race____

31 Saturday. James help at mill-race, Muldoon
& Peter reap Bl k Sea & cart in a load peas____
Griffin do_ do_ do_ & help with peas____
George at sundries in garden, help turn peas,
Collins help at race, square up a peice of pine

James help at mill-race, Muldoon at sundries in morn:, draw sally bushes out of creek by dinner, then draw wood for George ; Peter & Griffin at sundries in morn:, then clean up creek in Old Pigfeild, George at sundries in garden & about house____ Collins came at noon clean up stuff for eve-spouts & help at the race__ Self putting up Mill-race to Berry's in even g _____

3 Tuesday. James help sort lambs, help at race till dinner, turn peas, make up dam about mouth of race__ Muldoon at sundries in morn:, help clean up creek till dinner, draw wood for himself, Peter & Griffin help with lambs in morn:, dig out the creek in Old Pigfeild, George at sundries in garden & about house, help turn peas____ Collins about eve-spout & help a good while at race_____ Self about mill-race & sundries
