Self to Henry Streets' called at Rob ts & Th s Read's on my way home to dinner, then to Fred Baskin's and Frank Armitage's_____

3 Friday. James about horses in morn:, wash the
other half of plough harness & oil it, & oil
cart harness; Muldoon about horses in morn:,
draw down 3 loads of straw & draw soft-wood
over from old yard, Peter to Rob ts in morn:,
help with straw, then about sundries___ Griffin
not here, George about cattle &e, help stow
away straw, wash cart harness_ repack the
herrings & about sundries__ Self make a tub to
stand under spout of pump by dinner, then about
sundries & to Berry's in even g ___

4 Saturday. James about horses in morn:, draw wood for himself, Muldoon about horses in morn:,
pile some oak & pine lumber, then grind axes,
Peter saw wood in morn:, help pile the
lumber & grind the axes, Griffin not here__
George about cattle &e & saw some soft-wood__
Self file soft-wood saw, weigh hides, measure boards; to the post-office & Rob ts in even g ___

5 Sunday. Church A.M. James A'Hearn Biddy 1/3_ took Biddy & Mary-Anne to Aylmer ,
they returned in the even g & Griffin also__

6 Monday. James & Muldoon about horses in morn:, then lay up cedars cut by them about a year ago_ Peter bring water from river in morn:, put
hides in cutter & harness the horse to it, then
thrash peas, Griffin thrash wheat, George
about cattle &e, saw wood____ Self to the
forge & on the conners, called at Berry's
& M r Read's on my way home to a late dinner__

7 Tuesday. James & Muldoon about horses in morn:, load sleigh with hides & harness horses till
about 9 o'C, then lay up cedars, Peter saw
wood in morn:, then to Ottawa, Griffin
thrash wheat, George about cattle &e,
Self to Ottawa with hides____

8 Wednesday. James & Muldoon about horses in
morn;, chop & lay up cedars for fence logs_
Peter saw wood in morn:, thrash peas,
Griffin thrash wheat, George about cattle &e____
Self got back just about dark_____

9 Thursday. James & Muldoon about horses in
morn: chop fence logs, Peter saw
wood in morn:, clean up peas & draw
down wheat-straw till dinner, then draw
down peas & peastraw & about sundries.
Griffin saw wood in morn:, help
clean up peas & help with straw till
dinner, then thrash wheat, George about
cattle &e, saw wood, help with pea-straw.
Self set & file long x-cut & about sundries
till dinner, to the forge to get
a fore shoe removed on Poll___

10 Friday. James & Muldoon about horses in morn:,
lay up fence-logs, Peter thrash oats,
Griffin thrash wheat, George about cattle
&e, harness horses to double cutter, churn
& about sundries____ Self cut bags in
Poll & about sundries till near noon
then to Ottawa, ran up to Rob ts & down Berry's hill.

11 Saturday. James & Muldoon about horses in morn:,
chop & lay up fence logs, Peter clean up
& measure wheat till near 3 o'C, thrash oats,
Griffin help at the wheat, then saw wood_
George about cattle &e,___ Geo: ½ yd cloth @3/6. Self returned just at dark, ½ lb thread #4/- brought the girls home, also Griffin a b tl rape oil Hamnett, whom I took down yesterday. Do_ Cash
