Self lost most of the day thinking in what
direction I'd go; weighed a bundle hay for James;
measured some boards for Fred; about 4 o 'C
went part of the road to Armstrong's forge,
found it so bad, turned & came back by Payne's.

13 Sunday. Church A.M., John Pinhey came up
about 10½ o 'C, went to church, about an
hour after D r Hill & family came up to
dinner; the latter left at 4½ o 'C, but
John did not start for home till
near 6 o 'C, on account of going to Payne's__
14 Monday. James & Muldoon about horses in morn:
then chop soft-wood, Peter & Griffin

till 4 o 'C, then grind axes; G v riffin v in Aylmer ,
George about cattle &c, help bring in beef & pork,
Self ring pigs, cut up beef, began to rig mill-saw__
