13 Saturday. James & Muldoon began
the loging with oxen__ Toolie 8 yds shirting @1/-
Toolie at do__; Griffin at & 1 spool 4 d -/1
Bessborough; George about cows &e, Griffin 4 yds shirting @1/-
weeding garden & at sundries__ do_ 3 yds satinel @2/1½
We returned a little before dark___ Miss Butler_

14 Sunday. Church P.M. Self to Berry 's a tooth brush 1/3
& Rob ts in even g took Constance 2 oz charcoal -/3
and Horace with me____ 2 spools 8 d Rec d

 

15 Monday. James, Muldoon & Griffin at loging__
Toolie at sundries in morn: then at do___
George about cows &e, weeding in garden__
Self ring pigs & look to the foal till near 10 o'C, then
to John Streets & on to S o March, got back about 9 o'C_

16 Tuesday. James, Muldoon, Toolie & Griffin at loging__ George about cows &e, hoe corn till dinner, then
help in Gristmill______ Self to Bessborough & look too things till dinner, work Gristmill, to Berry 's in buggy__

17 Wednesday. James & Muldoon cart down a load oat-
straw in morn:, then at loging, Toolie &
Griffin pile lumber in morn:, then log____
George about cows &e, weeding garden & at
sundries____ Self out back as far as Tom
Smiths, brought home Miss Barrie at about
1½ o'C, called at the Brewery on my way home__

18 Thursday. James, Muldoon, Toolie & Griffin at
loging; George about cows &e, weed g tatoes
in garden & about sundries____ Self to Bells corners
to the rom

19 Friday. James, Muldoon, Toolie & Griffin at
loging: George about cows &e, churn,
hoe tatoes & at sundries____ The Almont man

20 Saturday. James at loging in morn: then to Fred's rising. Muldoon, Toolie & Griffin at loging till
near 6 o'C, then cart down a load oat-straw to
Cow-loft & at sundries; George about cows &e,
hoe g tatoes & corn & at sundries___ Self new
bottom a pail & fix axle in the 2 nd iron wheel___

21 Sunday. Church A.M. Self drove Kate to Bessborough
& then to Berry's in even g ____ Jane

22 Monday. James draw rails & repair river fence in morn:, then log; Muldoon, help cut boar & ring pigs in
morn: then log: Toolie & Griffin do_ do do & help repair river fence in morn:, then at loging;____
George about cows &e, hoe corn & at sundries__
Self cut boar & ring pigs in morn: look about
till noon, then to Ottawa, Mary with me___

23 Tuesday. James scuffle tatoes, Muldoon & Toolie
at loging; Griffin pull wild mustard p r
& hoe head ridges of tatoes; George about cows &e, " hoe corn & at sundries____ Self in Ottawa___ "

24 Wednesday. James scuffle tatoes, Muldoon & Toolie
at loging; Griffin hoe g head ridges of tatoes.
George about cows &e, at sundries in garden__
Self returned a little before sunset 7 yds

25 Thursday. James finish scuffle my tatoes soon after
breakfast dinner, then at the men's share; Griffin
Muldoon & Toolie at loging in morn:, then
weed carrots; Griffin hoe head ridges of tatoes, George about cows &e, do some weeding in garden, help put down new carpet___ Self take down pipes & stove in dining room in morn; look about & ride to Edward's & back by dinner, then to the election to vote_____

26 Friday. James finish scuffle men's tatoes about 10 o'C,
hoe them for a start, then weed carrots; Muldoon,
Toolie weed g carrots; Griffin hoe g tatoes & at carrots; George about cows &e, weed g garden & at sundries_
Margaret Hill up by the boat to take leave of us, On 23 rd
Hammy do_ with her; Self went to meet 'em
with buggy, & drove Margaret down again____
