29 Thursday. James plough in 16 Acre-feild; Muldoon not here; Tooly at home; Griffin & Casey saw wood till near 9 o'C, take out tatoes for George till noon, look after the cow I got from Major for some time, then Griffin to Bessborough for a cart-load of sand & Casey saw wood; George about pigs &e, steam tatoes, & about sundrie Self look about till 10 o;'C, then get ready & off at noon to Ottawa in buggy, took Arab with me_____
30 Friday. James finish plough pea-stubble in 16 Acre-feild about then plough in Old Pigfeild No side; Muldoon & Casey taking in their tatoes; Tooly at home; Griffin make mortar & point George's house; George about pigs &e, steam tatoes, mix 'em & about sundries_ Self & Arab in Ottawa____
31 Saturday. James about sundries in morn: thrash wheat for a while, then plough 4 o'C, then to Edwards's with horse-cart to bring in some things from Ottawa; Griffin thrash wheat, clean it & oats, cart down oat-straw & to Brewery in Smith's boat__ Muldoon help clean up wheat & oats, cart down oat-straw & about sundries; Tooly at home; Casey saw wood & about sundries; George about pigs &e, steam tatoes & mix 'em__ Self & Arab left Ottawa about 11 o'C, got home about 4 o'C__
