2.Monday. James work sawmill till dinner, get horses

&e ready for plough g .. by 4 o 'C, plough for wheat

above road; Muldoon out back; Tooly about

horses in morn.., plough grass land; Griffin not here;

George about cows &e, gather tatoe stalks from 9 ½ o 'C, till

dinner, at sundries in garden; Collins gather tatoe tops

till 9 o 'C, then make a tiny coffin to strati order by noon ,

repair a leak in dam, at tatoe stalks again & burn most

of 'em off_____ Self right g .. out ploughs & saw for a while in even g ..__

3Tuesday. James work sawmill, Muldoon out back; Tooly about

horses in morn.., plough till noon , pick & turne tatoes;

Griffin not here; George about cattle &e, bring home sheep

directly after dinner, saw wood, turn grindstone; Collins re_

_pairg.. Old Pigfield gate, make lid for churn; grind old chisels_

4Wednesday. James work sawmill till dinner, plough for wheat;

Muldoon out back; Tooly about horses in morn..,

plough grass land; Griffin not here; George about

cows &e, do some work in garden____ Collins handle

a chisel in morn.., repair g .. Old Pigfield gate till about

5 o 'C, help self in sawmill_____ Self at do_ & point

mill_saw till dinner, repair a plough, work sawmill___

5Thursday. James work sawmill in morn.., draw a load hay

to Horse_loft & a load earth to dam, then saw again;

Muldoon out back; Tooly about horses in morn..,

plough grass land, Griffin not here, George about

cows &e, saw wood & do some work in garden___

Collins at sundries in morn.., help with hay & earth

saw for dam then at alterations about gate at this end of lane___

Self for about 2 hours after breakfast, help mend

drain, improve gate at this end of lane; to Brewery with buggy in even g ..

6Friday. James work sawmill; Muldoon out back;

Tooly about horses in morn.., plough grass land;

Griffin not here; George about cows &e, do some

diging in garden;____ Collins at gate for clothes__

_yard in morn.., help in with 7 logs to mill, help

repair some fences & at sundries till dinner, dig

a bed in garden & saw some hard_wood______

Self about sundries till dinner, file handsaw___

7Saturday. James saw till 6 o 'C, to the wharf in waggon

till 8 o 'C, then get his breakfast & plough above

road till dinner, saw again, Muldoon out back;

Tooly about horses in morn.., finish plough grassland

before diner, then plough for a wheat above road;

Griffin back by steamer, did little grave & about

sundries to wards even g .., George about cows &e,

saw hard wood, dig a little in garden, help put away

the ox_sleigh, the bobs & train; Collins altering the

front on porch & make a shell for Charley's Baby__

8Sunday. Church A.M., Self took Kate to Berry 's in buggy,

 

9Monday. James saw & about horses in morn.., drain 1 log

into mill & saw again; Muldoon at home____

Tooly finish off horses after he came from home in morn..,

plough for while; Griffin help about horses in morn..,

drain several logs into mill then about sundries in

Woodfield; George about cows &e, saw rows of

peas & saw parsnips; Collins at front of porch,

help in with logs to mill & make a table for chickens__

Self help with do .. .. , file & set Mill_saw &

to Rob ts .. before dinner, put a cog in gig__wheel & about porch___

10Tuesday. James sawing; Muldoon about horses in morn..,

to A.L. Smith's & on to Barley's after a boat & about

sundries till dinner, draw home 4 sawlogs & a load hay

to Horses; Tooly about horses in morn.., pick over all

the tatoes, take the boat back to Bessborough, pile

lumber & about sundries; Griffin at sundries in morn..,

out tatoes; Hogan at sundries in morn.., after the boat

too till about 11 o 'C, split big junks in shed till dinner,

cut roads for sawlogs & help with hay; George about

cows &e, split big junks & about sundries;___ Collins

saw wood in morn.., cut tatoes_____

11Wednesday. James sawing; Muldoon about horses & repair fences

round John H.P's clearance, Tooly about horses, plough

for wheat; Griffin dig in garden in morn.., plough grass

land in West_field; Hogan help at fence; George about

cows &e, at sundries in garden;____ Collins began flame for roller_____
