scuffle & hoe tatoes, Tooly & Hogan at stumps;
George weeding garden __ Self ret d .. just as dark__
2 Saturday. James & Tooly grind axes & help shovel dung out
of cattle sheds till dinner, then weed carrots;
Griffin & Hogan at dung & snag tatoes till dinner,
then at carrots; George at sundries till dinner, then hoe
corn, kill a roaster ___ Self took Kate to Streets &e in even g ..__
3Sunday. Church A.M. Self & Mary to Streets & Rob ts ..
in buggy in the after-noon ___
4Monday. James & Griffin weed carrots in morn., then
scuffle & hoe tatoes; Tooly at do _. . do_, then
roll oats in 12Acre-feild & in 16Acre-feild next to
S o _ side_line; Hogan at carrots; George hoe corn & at sundries __
5Tuesday. James at his tatoes till dinner, then hoe weeds in
mine; Tooly & Hogan weed carrots in morn..,
then put 2 row turnips, then at stumps; Griffin
weed carrots in morn.., then hoe weeds in tatoes;
George weed g .. in garden, kill a roaster & about sundries __
Charles & wife and H.P.Hill up by the steamer ____
6Wednesday. James weed tatoes in morn.., then mould
with horse; Tooly weed'em till dinner, then
mould up with hoe; Griffin & Hogan weed in
morn.. then hill up; George weed g .. in garden___
7Thursday. James weed tatoes inmorn.., mould with plough
till 4½ o' C, then with the hoe; Tooly & Hogan at tatoes
with hoe; Griffin at sundries & kill a lamb in morn..,
kill a roaster & at sundries till 10 o' C, then hoe tatoes;
George at his tatoes ___
8Friday. James draw wood for himself from the river;
Tooly & Hogan at tatoes; Griffin at tatoes in morn..,
clean [frame] of roller & wash wheels ready for painting &
at sundries till 11 o' C, at tatoes again; George churn,
weed garden & about sundries ____
9Saturday. James repair fence round Barn-feild & about
sundries in morn.., cart 2 load oat_straw to Cow_
-loft, hoe weeks in carrots; Tooly & Hogan hoe g .. weeds
in tatoes & carrots, Griffin help close Barnfeild & open
Cedar_meadow in morn.., help down with straw, then
to Aylmer -; George about house & weed g .. garden _-_
10Sunday. Church P.M. A tea shine here last night,
11Monday. James hoe week in carrots & weed turnips till dinner, then
pile dung; Tooly the same; Hogan came about noon ,
help do _ do _ ; Griffin at home; George about house &e__

12Tuesday. James at the Lodge; Tooly & Hogan at the dung
in morn.., weed turnips, Griffin at home, George at the Lodge;
13Wednesday. James not here in morn.., roll oats & Bl k .. Sea;
Tooly ill till dinner, then hoe turnips;
Hogan hoe g .. turnips, Griffin back, did nothing;
George about house, weeding garden ____
14Thursday. James plough g .. tatoes & hoe for awhile after
dinner; Tooly & Hogan & Griffin finish hoe turnips in morn.., then hoe tatoes;
George about house & sundries, weed in garden ___
Charles &e left about 11½ o' C, Mary
15Friday. James finish plough tatoes by dinner, then work with
hoe; Tooly, Hogan & Griffin dress up tatoes with hoe;
George weeding garden & about sundries ____
16Saturday. James plough his & George's tatoes, then hoe his own;
Tooly hoe tatoes in morn.., then [giv g ] no till
about the funeral till noon , then off home;
Hogan & Griffin hoe g .. my tatoes till dinner, then
at George's ; George about sundries till dinner,
then to Edward's ___ Self to The Smiths, then to Edward's __
17Sunday. Church A.M.
18Monday. James grind soythe in morn.. mow in Wo.o.d _
_feild; Tooly & Hogan hoe George's tatoes in
morn.., grind soythe & mow; Griffin grind &
rig his scythe, draw the boom timber into the
water by dinner, rig up another scythe & mow.
part of garden, then got ill; George at sundries in morn..;
kill a roaster & at his tatoes till noon , at sundries again ___
19Tuesday. James, Tooly, Hogan mowing; Griffin finish
garden in morn.., then do _ with the rest of 'em;
