George ill____ Self poke about & to Robts.. in buggy till dinner, then
repair a tatoe bin in old cellar & to Edward's on horse_back in even g ..
4Friday. James saw wood in morn.., help in Gristmill till dinner, then split
big junks of hardwood; Tooly & Hogan thrash wheat; Griffin &
Moran thrash oats; O'Hara sawg.. soft_wood; George about
pigs &e, steam tatoes, churn & at sundries______
Self cart down out_straw in morn.., then at drain in
Creekfield; Tooly & Hogan finish thrash the malted wheat in morn..,
then clean up wheat & oats & cart ‘em down; Griffin & Moran
thrash oats in morn.., then at drain; O'Hara off home;
George about pigs &e, steam tatoes & about sundries___
Self picket out drain, measure lumber, stow away grain___
6Sunday. Church A.M. Mrs.. Butler came in his cutter;
Self took Kate & Katie to Berry 's in cutter in even g ..____
7Monday. James at sundries in morn.., then take out his tatoes;
Tooly, Hogan & Griffin about sundries in morn..,
then finish take out tatoes; George about pigs &e,
steam tatoes, saw slabs_______ Self about sundries__
8Tuesday. James to Aylmer ; Tooly, Hogan, Griffin take out
George's tatoes by 11 o 'C, then pull turnips & house ‘em
all but a few; George about pigs &e, steam tatoes,
saw wood & about sundries_____ Self paint new
part of Porch, take out the Furs & about sundries__
9Wednesday. James saw wood in morn.., help at repairs
about sawmill wheel till dinner, then help
in Gristmill; Toole thrash B lk .. Sea & snag the
turnips left out yesterday even g .. Hogan thrash peas;
Griffin to Edward's with a note, started for home, but
the boat did not call; George about pigs &e, steam tatoes___
Self put 4 new bolts in Sawmill wheel by
dinner, then work Gristmill___________
10Thursday. James wheel dung from cow_yard gate into garden in morn..,
finish cart in tatoes & turnips by about 3 o 'C, then bring in
his own & George's Toole thrash B lk .. Sea in morn.., then bag tatoes;
Griffin thrash Blk.. Sea in morn.., repair g .. dam till noon, then
off home; Hogan wheel dung into garden in morn.., bag tatoes; & of
George about pigs &e, trim asparagus bed & at sundries___
Self repair dam, rig up ‘em places for tatoes & at sundries___
11Friday. James about sundries in morn.., took horses out to plough,
lent found the land too wet, carted 2 loads earth with oxen
to dam, then cart chips from wood_shed with horse to
12 Acre_field in near of George's; Toole & Hogan went
home in morn.., Griffin at home; George about pigs &e,
steam tatoes, wheel manure on to small asparagus
bed & dig it in_______ Self paint outside of porch___
12Saturday. James finish cart chips out wood_shed soon
after breakfast, then cart last of the manure
on carrot land; Toole , Hogan , Griffin absent;
