26 Sunday. Church A.M. Ham & Mary_Anne came
up to have their baby christened____
27 Monday. James about horses in morn.., draw wood for himself;
Tom about horses in morn.., draw hay from Besborough &
about sundries; Tooly saw wood in morn.., help with
the hay & at do_; Griffin at sundries in morn.., thrash oats;
George about cattle &e; boil tatoes, stow away hay & at sundries___
Self after hay till dinner, take Ellen home_______
28 Tuesday. James about horses in morn.., rig up another hind_bob,
harness horses for self, draw in 5 logs; Tom about horses in
morn.., Tooley saw wood in morn.., then both fall & x-cut
14 logs; Griffin thrash oats; George about cattle &e,____
Self at sundries tell 9 o 'C, to Aylmer in double sleigh,
got back to 2½ o 'C dinner, rig up a new wood_saw_____

in morn.., Tooley saw wood in morn.., both lay up 13 logs;
Griffin sundries in morn.., thrash oats till 4 o 'C, saw
wood; George about cattle &e_______ Collins here at 12½ o 'C,
made a manager by 4 o 'C, then home____ Self at sundries____
2 Thursday. James about horses in morn.., draw in 8 logs;
Tom about horses in morn.., Tooly help load up
tatoes in morn.., then both fall & x-cut 14 logs; Griffin
help with tatoes in morn.., clean up oats, draw, ‘em
down & about sundries; George about cattle &e, help with
oats & straw_____ Self to Ottawa in double sleigh___
3Friday. James about horses in morn.., load up tatoes,
draw down 2 load oat_straw & draw in 3 loads hardwood,
Tom about horses in morn.., Tooly measure up tatoes in
morn.., then both fall & X-cut 17 logs; Griffin help
with tatoes & straw, thrash peas till dinner, then got
his hand hurt; George about cattle &e, refill ash_ b l ..,
& about sundries____ Self to Aylmer in double sleigh
got back to 1 o 'C, dinner, hang up big hams stow away flour__
4Saturday. James about horses & draw in 4 loads hardwood &
came home soon after dinner, saw wood & about sundries;
Tooly at sundries in morn.., help at sawlogs, then pick over
1 bin of the Blues; Griffin no work; George about cattle &e,
split & saw wood_____ Self put in 2 new managers__
5Sunday. Church P.M. Self took Kate, Bessy, Arab, Godfrey &
Charley for a drive from 11 o 'C, till 1 o 'C,___
6Monday. James about horses & draw in 10 logs;
Tom about horses in morn.., Tooly carry tatoes
up load sleigh in morn.., then both lay up 17 logs;
Griffin off home; George about cattle &e_______
