in Woodfeild about 10 o'C, mow in Creekfeild,
Tom & Tooley finish mown kitchen garden about
9 o'C, cart in till 5 o'C, mow in Creekfeild;
Jackson mowing; Griffin dress down hay in
little log barn & horse-loft in morn:, help at
hay till 5 o'C, then mow; George at sundries in
garden & about house____ Self at hay & sundries__

25 Tuesday. James & Jackson finish the mowing by
noon, then mow thistles; Tom & Tooley help
finish mow by noon, at do_ till 6 o'C, then take a
cow up to Bessborough; Griffin mow in morn: then
at thistles; George at sundries in garden & about
house____ Self to Brewery in morn:,

26 Wednesday. James mowing thistles & weeds nearly all day, cut brush &e in kitch: garden; Tom &
Tooley to Bessborough with another cow in morn:, then at drain; Jackson mow thistles in morn:,

then “ “ ; George about sundries___
Self down to meet the Boat in morn:, then down

27 Thursday. James weed carrots in morn:, help repair horse-cart till near 11 o'C, turn hay till dinner,
then rake up with horse; Tom at carrots till
10 o'C, make hay till dinner, then draw in;
Tooley at drain till 10 o'C, at hay till dinner, draw in; Jackson at carrots till 10 o'C, then make hay;
Griffin at drain till 10 o'C, then make hay;
George at sundries in garden & about house___
Self repair g old horse-cart till noon, then at hay___

28 Friday. James went home; Tom & Tooley at sundries
in morn: make hay till 4 o'C, then draw in;
Jackson & Griffin at sundries in morn:, then
make hay; George at do_ in garden & about
house till 2½ o'C, at hay till near 7 o'C_____
Self about sundries till dinner, then at hay___

29 Saturday. Tom X-cut dry pine in morn: help stow away a load hay & weed carrots till 11 o'C, then cart
2 loads lime & 1 of sand; Tooley help dress hay in little barn & put away hay-rake & sleigh in morn:, help stow away a load do_ in White barn, then
hoe carrots; Jackson not here; Griffin help at
hay &e in little barn in morn:, help hoe carrots
till near 5 o'C, then mix lime & sand; George
saw & split wood & about sundries___________

30 Sunday. Church A.M. Butler did not come___
Charley & John up to dinner in buggy_____

31 Monday. Tom hoe turnips till 3½ o'C, take the load
lime to Church-yard & 1 load sand by 6 o'C,
then at drain; Tooley, Jackson & Griffin hoe
turnips till 3½ o'C, then at drain ; George at
sundries in garden & about house__ Self poorly
all day, measure lumber, to Brewery in even g __

AUGUST 1865.

1 Tuesday. Tom & Jackson dig drain; Tooley at drain
till about 11 o'C, then mix morter,
Griffin mix morter & repair the wall;
George at sundries about house till 11 o'C,
then repair the wall____ Self to the
wharf in morn: with buggy to bring up H.P.H.

2 Wednesday. Tom at drain till dinner, draw sand
& lime; Tooley at yard till do, then at drain;
Jackson at drain; Griffin at Church-yard;
George about house in morn:, at do_ do_ till 6 o'C, then churn &e____ Ham at yard-coping till
about noon, then off by the boat to M r Egan's_____
