16Wednesday. James about horses in morn.. help at repairing
about sawmill water gate & flume till dinner,
then saw, John about cattle & sundries in
morn.. Then chop cordwood, Tom saw wood &
help put away sleighs in morn.. finish drawing
the slabs about an hour before sunset, then at sundries.
Self at repairs about sawmill water-gate & flume till
dinner; then look about in Sawmill & help do up ____
17Thursday. James work sawmill, John about horses in
morn..then chop cordwood, Tom at a raising-
Self fodder cattle &e in morn.., then about sundries,
take down both front porches, undo part of oil _
cloth in hall & lighten it up, do all up in evening ___
18Friday. James work Sawmill, John fodder cattle &
saw wood in morn.. then chop cordwood,
Tom about horses in morn..then chop cordwood ___
Self about sundries & repair milk pails till dinner,
water horses &e, rode to Berry 's, Rob ts , & on to streets for meal,
do up all the things in the evening____
19Saturday. James work sawmill, John about cattle &e,
steam tatoes, clean out stables & to Berry's with
horse cart before dinner, then help down with 2
load straw and 1 load hay to cow loft, Tom about horses,
draw in wood for John till dinner, then at straw and hay __
Self plaster up apple tree with elm bark, take down double
windows, put up little shutters at back window & at sundries.
20Sunday. Church A.M.
21Monday. James work sawmill, John about cattle &e, help
roll logs to Mill, help cut some long sawlogs,
Tom about horses in morn.., draw logs to mill, help
cut sawlogs till dinner, then draw them home ____
Self repair g . Sawmill in morn.. about sundries, & sawlogs in woods__
22Tuesday. James work sawmill, John fodder cattle &e, about
sundries & saw wood till dinner, then rig up & began
to plough grassland in 12 Acre-field, Tom about horses,
in morn.., then at sundries & saw wood till dinner, then
fill up holes on layland____Self put a new hoop
on milk pail in morn.., file mill_saw, ring the [Sous] and
about sundries till dinner, then drive Horses for John___
23Wednesday. James work sawmill, John about cattle &e in
morn.. plough grassland, Tom about horses in
morn.. at sundries & finish fill up holes on layland
about 11 o 'C, grind ax & began at stumps in Woodfield_
Self about sundries till dinner, then make ax handle_
24Thursday. James work sawmill, John about horses in
morn.., plough grass land, Tom about cattle
&e, & logs to mill in morn.., sift peas, grind colter &
began to plough same lay as John about noon ______
Self about sundries, put handle in ax, start oxen to plough___
25Friday. James work sawmill, John about horses in
morn.. plough lay, Tom fodder cattle &e, & sift
peas in morn.., draw logs to Mill, then plough lay___
Self open cellar window, help^in with logs, look about ____

finish plough lay, Tom about cattle &e in morn..,
plough lay till noon , then at sundries & sift peas,
draw down 1 load straw, draw 2 load earth to stop
a leak at waste gate ____ Self about sundries
till dinner, then file mill saw, help with straw__

28Monday. James work sawmill, John about horses,
at sundries & sort 14 bush s .. cups in No.2 cellar till
dinner, plough church field, Tom at sundries in
morn.. steam tatoes, help sort tatoes till dinner,
plough in Woodfield___ Self at sundries & kill a
roaster till dinner, then file both crosscut saws___
29Tuesday. James work Sawmill, John about horses in
morn.. then harrow peas, Tom about sundries in
morn.. cart harrow & peas to field, plough till dinner, at
sundries and sift peas till 4 o'C. Then plough again___Self
at sundries & sow peas till dinner, at sundries &crosscut roller_
30Wednesday. James work Sawmill, John about horses in morn..,
harrow peas help in with sawlogs at noon , Tom
sundries in morn.., cart peas to field, sift peas, finish plough
in Woodfiled about 5 o 'C. Then began to plough back of White Barn
self sow peas till noon , then at repairs in sawmill & about roller._
