James fodder cattle & carry in tatoes for pigs in morn - , fall & crosscut 8 sawlogs & about sundries, John about pigs, steam tatoes, mix food, draw in 5 sawlogs, Griffin sundries in morn - , help out do & at sundries again______ Self in woods about sawlogs till noon, file millsaw & about sundries____

28 Friday. James fodder cattle & carry in tatoes for pigs, then level road into my cord-wood, block sawlog rollway, clear out the road to it & level some hilloks on lake road, John about pigs, steam tatoes, draw in one sawlog, then help at rolling out &c, Griffin about sundries in morn., then at road & rollway_____ Self at sundries & look about things till near 11 o'C, then at rollway & road_____

29 Saturday. James fodder cattle and carry in tatoes for pigs in morn.. grind the drills & in gristmill till about 2 o'C, then about sundries, John about pigs, steam tatoes, draw in 2 sawlogs, then draw some slabs from mill & about sundries, Griffin saw wood & help in with the tatoes, grind the drills, drill one stone, then saw wood______ Self about sundries & work gristmill till 2 o'C, then repair [?] of water-pipe & saw off tops of the horns of the 2 cows I bought & major bull _____ Honnor £1..5..____

30 Sunday. Church A.M. Kate & the children, all but Mary went____ Honnor to Ottawa via Aylmer_____

1 Monday. James about horses in morn - , then about sundries, help sweep chimney, then draw stones out of Churchfield, John about pigs & sundries till dinner, then help at stones, Griffin saw wood & help load stones____ Self about sundries & blast one stone____

2 Tuesday. James about cows & horses in morn - , then about sundries, help grind drills & drill stones till dinner, then draw stones, John about pigs in morn - , then run about after boots till diner, then help at stones, Griffin saw wood in morn - , then to Rob ts about a boat till near noon, then at sundries & help at stones____ Self about sundries, grind drills & blast one stone by dinner, then blast another, file my hardwood saw, & at sundries__

3 Wednesday. James about cows & horses in morn - , help butcher steer till dinner, then at sundries & draw down 1 load pea-straw, John about pigs, steam tatoes, help with sheer for a start, thrash peas till dinner, then put on a boiller of Cups for stone-pigs & about sundries___ Griffin saw wood in morn - , help at steer till dinner, then at sundries & help down with straw___ Self butcher steer till dinner, then at sundries____

4 Thursday. James about cows & horses in morn - , help with steer till dinner, then at sundries & wash out barn, John about pigs, steam tatoes, put on the boiller of cups for run-abouts & at sundries till dinner, then thrash peas, Griffin at sundries in morn - , help with steer till dinner, & at sundries again___ Self finish cut-down the beef in morn - ., butcher the steer till dinner, then about sundries____

5 Friday. James about horses in morn - , then clean out the stable, help weigh beef & catch 2 sheep, then thrash wheat, John about pigs in morn - , then help with beef & catch sheep, then at sundries and salt beef till dinner, saw wood & about sundries, Griffin ill____ Self about sundries & cut up the fore-quarter till dinner, then kill sheep___

6 Saturday. James about horses, thrash wheat, John about pigs, steam tatoes, boil a pot of Cups for run-abouts, help sort sheep & about sundries, Griffin saw wood, help cull sheep & about sundries__ Self fodder cattle in morn - , cull do_ & at sundries till noon, kill an old ewe by dinner, then another & at sundries___

7 Sunday. Self to John Wilsons in cutter before dinner___

8 Monday James about horses in morn - & for a good start after, then thrash wheat & draw straw till dinner, then clean it, John about pigs & sundries, help with straw & clean up, Griffin saw wood & about sundries___ Self fodder cattle in morn - then about sundries & up to Smith's till dinner, then cover up mutton & beef___
