1 Thursday. James about horses in morn - , then oil harness, John sundries in morn - , then wash do __ , Griffin fodder cattle &e morn - & even g , split large junks of hardwood & about sundries__ Self repair drain & at sundries till dinner, then put up Parlour back window, repair back door____

2 Friday. James & John about horses in morn - , remove harness from kitchen to stable, take a lamb out of water hole, clean up the wheat, Griffin about cattle morn - & even g , help run the wheat once by dinner, then saw wood____ Self grind my ax, bore out 3 ax-handles, replace 2 of them, file soft-wood saw___

3 Saturday. James about horses in morn - , finish clean up the wheat & put it in mill, then home ill, John & Rider at wood for himself, Griffin fodder cattle &e in morn - , help with the wheat, then about sundries___ Self file Father's hardwood saw, stow away wheat & put in one ax handle by dinner, then at sundries & do up cattle & horses___

4 Sunday. Church P.M. Self drove Kate &c to Luton , J. Streets & to Rob ts , brought up Anna to dinner, Rob t took her & her Ma - home in the even & J. took Charley across & up the road______

5 Monday. James ill till noon, then draw down a load wheat straw & at sundries, John about horses & sundries till 11 o'C, then drove Father to Rolston's, help down with straw & across the ice to level at foot of hills &e_____ Self fodder cattle morn - & even - , at sundry jobs & across the ice in Cutter to settle the hill_____

6 Tuesday. James about horses in morn - , then oil harness, John sundries & help among the horses in morn - , wash harness____ Self fodder cattle morn - & even g , file hardwood saw & about sundries_____

7 Wednesday. James about horses in morn - , then clean out stables &e, put cart & cutter harness together, give waggon harness another coat of oil & at sundries till dinner, then saw hardwood, John ill_____ Self at sundries till about 11 o'C, then to Aylmer in cutter,

8 Thursday. James at wood for himself, John about horses in morn - , then at sundries & put on a steamer of tatoes by dinner, at sundries again_____ Self at sundries, fodder cattle twice____

9 Friday. James about horses in morn - , then at wood for himself, John fodder cattle & load sleigh in morn - , then about house & saw wood____ Self to Ottawa took W. Monk with me___________

10 Saturday. James about horses in morn - , draw down wheat straw & about sundries, John sundries & help about horses in morn - , help with straw, about sundries & fodder cattle &e____ Self fodder cattle in morn., to steam mill for the flour, got back to a late dinner, put away flour, took Anna home___

11 Sunday. Church A.M. M rs Greene & Anna dined with us, Self drove them home in evening, Kate &c at Rob ts & went to Luton___

12 Monday. James about horses in morn - , oil carriage harness again, oil halters & bells, cut down water-place for horses, John bring water for wash in morn - , clean out cow stable &e, then thrash oats, help do up things at night____ Self putting handles in axes____

13 Tuesday. James about horses in morn - , draw 4 load hay from little log barn to cow loft & saw some wood, John fodder cattle &e in morn - help with hay & saw wood___ Self to Ottawa, Con - went with me & Emmily Dyer came up with us___

14 Wednesday. James about horses in morn - , after crotches till near 2 o'C, then draw down a load oat straw & clean up oats, John about house in morn - thrash oats till dinner, then help with straw & oats_____ Self after crotches till a late dinner, then began to make one, fodder cattle morn - & even g _____

15 Thursday. James about horses morn - , clean out cow house &e, then thrash wheat till dinner, then thrash again, John ill____ Self rig out wood sleigh, draw in 2 load hardwood, fodder cattle morn - & even g ____
