morn - , help lay up 19 logs____ Griffin help with straw in morn - , sweep out the barn, thrash peas, George fodder cattle &e__ Self to Jay's & round to Berry's before dinner, file Muldoon's X-cut, & about sundries____
5 Saturday. James about horses in morn-, draw wood for George , Muldoon fill up tatoes inmorn- then at wood for George , Griffin at do in morn-, help put calf &e in sleigh, then thrash peas____ George fodder cattle &e, saw wood & at sundries. Self to Ottawa with the calf & sundries for John___
6 Sunday. Church A.M. Rob t & family & M r Smith came about 4 o'C. stoped to tea______
7 Monday. James about horses in morn-, draw in 19 logs, Muldoon & Griffin draw down 2 load pea-straw, 2 load oat-straw, 2 load wheat-straw for bedding, 1 load hay from white barn to Horses, & 1 small load hay from little log barn (the last) to Cow-loft, George fodder cattle &e, & at sundries___ Self to Inglee's shanty looking after oxen____
8 Tuesday. James at home with hurt shoulder, Muldoon saw wood in morn - draw a load hardwood from barn to shed, then draw in soft-wood, Griffin about horses in morn - , thrash peas till near 4 o'C. then went to meet new oxen, George fodder cattle &e, saw wood, Self & John Street started for Richmond Fair, hardly went half way, bought a yoke, returned to Hopper's had dinner there, John brought the cattle on, Self came home & took back Griffin to releive John____
9 Wednesday. James no work till dinner, then to Payne's with Horses for a large Sawlog, got back at dark, Muldoon about horses in morn - draw in soft-wood with new oxen till dinner, then to Payne's to help X-cut & lay up the large Sawlogs, Griffin thrash peas in morn - & for a start after breakfast, then clean & measure 'em up by about 4 o'C. then at sundries, George fodder cattle &e, help with peas & at sundries____ Jay began wheelbarrow___ John & Con - came up about dinnertime, went home round the road at sun-set____ Self got up very poorly eat no breakfast, got better, measured a bit of lumber for Archer, very busy all afternoon____
10 Thursday. James about horses in morn - , fall a tree for Sawlogs, help lay up 11 logs, then at X-cut 3 logs, Muldoon measure up wheat & load sleigh in morn - , help Payne down with a Sawlogs, then lay up 11 logs, & X-cut 3 logs, Griffin help measure & load up wheat in morn - , then thrash peas___ George fodder cattle &e, saw wood &e____ Self to Ottawa with wheat & mutton___
