James about horses in morn - , finish the butt g & X-cut g of 2 logs, then lay up 5 logs & improve road till dinner, at sundries for a start, then draw in 3 logs, Muldoon sundries in morn - , help at Sawlogs till dinner, saw wood for an hour or two, then draw in logs on crotch. Griffin in sundries in morn - , clean & measure up peas, remove them to White barn___ George fodder cattle &e, help clean up peas &e_ Self to Aylmer to get hind shoe on Spring
15 Tuesday. James about horses in morn - , draw in 10 logs off rollway (the last), Muldoon to Berry's on foot, then took a table on train before breakfast, draw out some cedars for his Cow-shed, then draw in 1 Sawlog___ Griffin thrash peas, George fodder cattle &e, saw wood____ Self to Aylmer in cutter & on to Ottawa with McLean's buggy__
16 Wednesday. James about horses in morn - to Aylmer with the peas till late dinner, then at sundries & clean up peas, Muldoon at his Cow-shed, Griffin finish thrashg peas about 3 o'C. kill a roaster, help clean up peas, George fodder cattle &e, Self to Aylmer with peas________
17 Thursday. James about horses in morn - , then at wood for himself, Muldoon out back__ Griffin to Aylmer, George fodder cattle &e____ Self to Ottawa in the buggy via Aylmer____

James about horses in morn - , measure up & help weigh peas & at sundries till dinner & for a while after, then draw 1 load straw & 1 load hay to Cow-loft, Muldoon not here___ Griffin in Aylmer, George fodder cattle &e, help measure & weigh peas, clean out calf-house, help down with straw & hay_____ Self about sundries, to A. James about horses in morn - , to Aylmer with peas on train, got at dinner time, draw 1 load hay to Cow-loft, grind axes___ Muldoon at sundries & draw 2 loads pea-straw till dinner, then help down with hay & grind axes, Griffin no work____ George fodder cattle &e, help down with the pea-straw____ Self to Aylmer in cutter, took 6 bush ls of the peas, went on to Ottawa with M c Lean's buggy, remained all night___
20 Sunday. Church A.M. Self returned to dinner____
21 Monday. James about horses in morn - , then chop soft-wood, Muldoon sundries in morn - , then chop soft-wood, Griffin at sundries & boil & skim cattle feet till dinner, help ring 5 of the pigs, at sundries & cart a load or two of slabs from Mill, George fodder cattle &e, saw & split wood, salt pork, help ring pigs___ Self agreed with a Canadian in Gibson's bay for 8 or 10 ths shingles @10/- to be delivered about the 20 th May______
22 Tuesday. James about horses in morn - , then chop soft-wood, Muldoon sundries in morn - , then chop soft-wood, Griffin help put away train & the bobs in morn-, draw up slabs till about 3½ o'C. then gave up with bad eye, George fodder cattle &e____ Self putting away train & the bobs in morn - , to Aylmer with beef in cutter, got back about 2 o'C.______
23 Wednesday. James about horses in morn - , then chop softwood, Muldoon sweep out little logbarn in
morn - , chop soft-wood. Griffin saw g wood till 9 o'C, then help cut softwood, George fodder cattle &e___ Self to Aylmer in cutter & on to Ottawa in buggy, took John Muldoon up____
