4. Monday. James about horses in morn - , burn g brimstone & old leather under Filo's nose & at sundries for a start among horses, at sundries in Sawmill & grease her till about 11 o'C. then saw away____ Muldoon water from river & to Rob ts till a late breakfast, draw 2 loads hay to Horses, 1½ loads to Cowloft, 1 load wheat straw, then some junks hardwood to old yard, Griffin not back____ George about cattle &e, kill a roaster, help down with hay & straw___ Self finish fixing up Millsaw till about 11 o'C_ at sundries in Sawmill & out of it too__

5 Tuesday. James & Muldoon about horses in morn - , then X-cut bottom bunks for new fence, Griffin came after dark, George about cattle &e, & saw slabs___ Self iron band &e mallets for dam-gate.

6 Wednesday. James work Sawmill, Muldoon about horses in morn - , then at soft-wood, Griffin draw hardwood junks from barn to old yard in morn - , then file soft wood in bush, George about cattle &e, kill a roaster, saw slabs___ Self file a hard-wood saw, finish off an ax-helve for James & put it in his ax; one began by Henderson; set & file rip-saw_____

7 Thursday. James saw in morn - , roll logs to Mill for a start & saw again till about 4 o'C, then help run line, Muldoon about horses in morn - , help in with logs to Mill, grind ax & to woods to cut long sawlogs till dinner, then run line, Griffin sundries in morn - , help with logs to Mill, help grind ax, & cut sawlogs, help run line, George fodder cattle &e, saw slabs & at sundries___ Self at sundries in morn - , went to the post, fit a new l to ox-yoke till dinner, went with Holmes to measure the front of Horace ville beginning at M r Read's, finish repair g the, mend leak in dam.

8 Friday. James work Sawmill, Muldoon & Griffin about horses in morn - them help open the 7 th Con - , Payne help run line, George about cattle &e, saw wood & at sundries____ Self help Holmes hunt up 7 th Con - till I got wet, then came home, repair d Hamnett's little waggon, hung up small hams & about sundries___

9 Saturday. James work Sawmill, Muldoon & Griffin about horses in morn - , finish run line at noon, draw down 2 loads pea-straw, (the last), roll logs to Mill & about sundries, George about cattle &e, saw slabs & at sundries___ Self to the post, point & set Mill-saw, look about till dinner, ring young sow & put her with run-abouts, put the big white sow in her place & let dark sow out of her pen____

10 Sunday. Church P.M. Self to Ottawa in buggy, left at 9 o'C A.M. & got back at 9 o'C P.M.

11 Monday. James work Sawmill, Muldoon about horses in morn - , draw home 4 long sawlogs & at sundries, Griffin repile soft & hardwood up at the barns, helped in with 2 of the long logs form woods & about sundries, George about cattle &e, to the Brewery with horse & cart, saw wood___ Jay glue left of Old table, make 1 new rack for stable, mend a clothes horse____ Self repair handles of little washtub, & at sundries____

12 Tuesday. James work sawmill, Muldoon about horses morn - & even g draw wood for himself, Griffin sift peas in morn, then help Muldoon , George about cattle &e, saw wood & kill a roaster by noon, then after James cow till sunset, do up the cattle____ Self alter g hinge & fastening & put on a new bolt to double doors, lower green gate of garden____

13 Wednesday. James work Sawmill, Muldoon about horses in morn - , draw wood for George , Griffin pile boards in
morn - , finish about house & at sundries till 11 o'C, help Self put pickets up for fence, do up cattle &e, George fodder cattle &e in morn - , then at wood for himself____

14 Thursday. James work Sawmill, Muldoon about horses in morn-, draw logs to Mill, & 1 load hay from log barn to Cow-loft till noon, then grind axes, Griffin sort hardwood to shed in morn-, help with logs & hay, turn grindstone, George about cattle &e, kill a roaster, saw wood_____ Self about sundry jobs____
