James & Muldoon shovel up drain at head of new land, then began to change course of the creek, Griffin caulk boat by dinner, then pitch it____ Peter plough in new feild____ George about house &e, hoe corn____ Self off to Laky's with Poll & buggy soon after sun-rise, got back to breakfast about 9¼ o'C, then see about things_____

28 Tuesday. James sundries in morn - looking after the yearling calves till 2 o'C_ then at creek, Muldoon sundries in morn - , then at do__ Griffin shovel dung out of house in Old Pigfeild in morn - dig for creek till dinner, then caulk Mr Smith's boat, Tayler here in his place_____ Peter plough grass in new land___ George about house &e, hoe corn & at sundries_____ Self at little or nothing all day, down Townrhip in buggy in eveng__ ______

30 Thursday. James at creek in morn - , then scuffle tatoes, Muldoon at do in morn - , roll oats back of White barn & some in Old Pigfeild, then hoe tatoes, Griffin at creek in morn - , help load roots on ox-cart till dinner, then hoe tatoes, Peter at creek in morn - , draw roots with ox-cart till dinner, then harrow a part of new land____ George about house &e_____ Self rode to Tom Allan's & home by Rob ts in after noon______
