plough part of tatoe land
Muldoon cart earth to dam till 10 o 'C, then cart dung,
Peter help at dam till 10 o 'C, then spread dung, Griffin
at sundries till dinner, churn, help load do & saw wood,
George about pigs &e, steam tatoes & mix 'em, Collins at
sundries about new scullery till near 3 o 'C, then repair g ..
sash for George's house___ Self at sundries & grind for an hour in after n ..
2Friday. James about horses & sundries in morn.., plough
grass land, Muldoon wheel dung into garden
in morn.., spread dung above road till dinner,
then cart dung with oxen, Peter at wood
for himself till dinner, then spread dung____
Griffin in point g .. sheep house & back pig_house,
help load dung, George about pigs &e, do some digging
in garden, Collins repair g .. floor at Geo..___
Self at sundries till 10 o 'C, start d .. for Ottawa at noon
3Saturday. James plough grass land, Muldoon spread dung
till dinner, then court dung with oxen, Peter
thrash peas, Griffin spread do__ till dinner, then
help load dung & at sundries, George about pigs &e,
steam tatoes & mix 'em___ Collins put new
bars in ladder of upper flume, began ^to part on shed__
4Sunday. Church P.M. Self left Ottawa a little after
11 o 'C, reached home about sunset___
5 Monday. James plough grass land, Muldoon wheel dung
into garden in morn, spread dung till dinner,
clean up peas & cart pea straw, Peter a-X the water___
Griffin dig garden & about sundries till 11 o 'C, spread
dung till dinner, help clean peas & help with pea-straw,
George about pigs &e, steam tatoes & mix 'em___
6 Tuesday. James plough grass land, Muldoon cart
dung, Peter spread dung in morn.., to Berry 's
for yeast, at dung again, Griffin digging garden
in morn.., help in Gristmill till dinner, in do__
again, George about pigs &e, steam tatoes, kill
last of the roasters, mix pigs food__ Collins ,
came at noon , went on with partition in wood
shed, remade some putty, put 9 panes in sash
for George's house___ Self at sundries & grind till
dinner, then look about___
7 Wednesday. James plough grass land, Muldoon
cart two load dung (the last) to Woodfield,
then spread dung, Peter dig after leaks in dam,
Griffin do_ do_, George about pigs &e, spread of
manure on asparagus bed & dig it in with
dung_fork, dig in dung on strawberry beds____
Collins at partition in wood_shed & at
sundries____ Self repair g .. a pail & look about___
8 Thursday. James plough grass land, Muldoon finish
spread dung in morn.., help at dam & thrash
peas, Peter at do_ in morn.., then at do__, Griffin
digging garden help at dam for an hour or so
in evening, George about pigs &e, take up
a bed of parsnips & dig some of garden___
Collins finish patition in wood_shed, help
repair dam for about 3 hours___ Self at dam__
9 Friday. James finish plough grass land about 10 o 'C, then
began fallow, Muldoon sundries in morn..,
thrash peas till dinner, fill earth in dam again,
Peter sundries in morn.., pig up plough & began
pea_stubble in Woodfield, Griffin saw wood
& attend tatoe steam g .. till dinner, then off home__
George about pigs &e, fill a steamer of tatoes,
churn & saw wood till dinner, mix pigs food__
Collins fit window, do something more to the
floor & put 4 panes in the other window up at
George's, then rip stuff to stud ice_house____
10 Saturday. James plough fallow with the mares__
Muldoon catch g .. horses in morn.. plough
pea_stuble in Woodfield, Peter sundries in
morn.., plough in do__, Griffin not here__
George about pigs &e, fill steam_box, nail
slips to cover painting in hen_house_
Collins studing ice_house___ left off work at 3 o 'C,__
Self very poorly all day, yesterday with
a bad cold in head & chest, a little better to day,
