17 Saturday. James & Muldoon about horses in morn:, make roll-way, X-cut 4 logs & lay up 3; Griffin thrash wheat; George about cows 7e, saw wood__ Self to Ottawa_

18 Sunday. No service in the Church__ Collins ½ lb tea 1/7½. Self took Kate to Rob ts in the even g __

19 Monday. James about horses in morn:, clean up wheat, help down with 2 load' straw & 1 load hay to Cow loft; Muldoon about horses & draw water from river in morn:, draw in load soft-wood, draw down
straw & hay; Griffin saw wood in morn:, clean
up wheat by thrash wheat again; George about
cattle &e, saw & split wood____ Self to Aylmer____

20 Tuesday. James & Muldoon about horses in morn:,
harness 'em after breakfast, then fall & X-cut logs;
Griffin thrash wheat; George about cattle &e, saw & split wood;____ Self to Ottawa double sleigh____

lay up sawlogs; Griffin thrash wheat;
George about cattle &e,___ Self put old
handle into new ax for sawlog ax; cut 3 inches &
3 teeth off each end of 7 ft X-cut & about sundries En-
till 3 o'C, then took Kate in cutter to Edward's__

sundries till dinner, to Aylmer in double sleigh_

up wheat till dinner, draw down straw & at
sundries; Griffin help with wheat & straw__

thrash till about 10 o'C, then to Berry's & on to
Black Hall till noon, at sundries again for about
2 hours, then thrash & do up cattle &e; George did
up cattle &e in morn: then home ill____
Self a little better, but not inclined to do any thing__

30 Friday. James about horses in morn: draw in 20 sawlogs; Muldoon help a little about horses in
morn: to Ottawa in cutter with letter to Ham, got
back a little before 4 o'C, saw wood & at sundries__ Griffin about cattle &e, finish thrash Scotch wheat,
saw wood & at sundries; George ill at home_
Self poorly all day again__ Ham came in soon
after dinner, went off at 4 o'C____
